THE MISSION
At Valor Kingdom Ministries, we are a ministry without walls, committed to reaching beyond boundaries to spread the Gospel. We believe that disciples are called to go forth, teach, and guide others—seeking the lost and encouraging the saved to remain steadfast and unshakable (Matthew 28:16-20). VKM recognizes the importance of dedicated individuals in fostering the growth of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11). Our mission extends into the community, supporting veterans and those experiencing homelessness through service and outreach.
LEADERSHIP:
Dr. Vincent K. Sims
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., to Laura and the late Joseph B. Sims, Sr. He was educated in the D.C. Public Schools system, where he was actively involved in sports, choir, drama club, and served as a musician in the marching, concert, and jazz bands.
Introduced to Christ at an early age, Dr. Sims was baptized by the late Rev. James A. Fenwick, Sr. at True Baptist Church. He and his family have also served faithfully at Divine Love Baptist Church under the late Rev. Leroy Clay, Sr. At True Baptist, he served as a junior usher, junior deacon, and sang in the junior choir.
His passion for music marked the beginning of his ministry. Dr. Sims played various instruments for churches and accompanied numerous major gospel, contemporary, quartet, and secular groups and solo artists across the globe. In 1996, he held dual musical roles at The Holy Christian Missionary Baptist Church for All People, under Apostle Stephen E. Young Sr., and at Central Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. (now located in Camp Springs, MD), under the late Pastor John “Hurricane” Parker.
While serving in these ministries, Dr. Sims heard his call to preach in 1999. After many years of reflection, he accepted his calling on December 29, 2019. He was licensed to preach on April 10, 2021, under the leadership of Pastor Lincoln M. Burruss, Jr. Today, Dr. Sims is an ordained minister, serving in several roles at Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs, including assistant to the Pastor, assistant to the Minister of Music, and Youth Minister.
Dr. Sims is deeply committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition to his work in the United States, he has preached internationally in countries such as Ghana, Sierra Leone, Nairobi, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Kenya.
